19 Safest Countries in the World For Your Next Trip

Is this your first time traveling outside the country alone? If so, choosing a safe country is a smart move to ease into your travels.

The Global Peace Index (GPI) report shows a 3.2% increase in global risk and insecurity over the past 14 years. When you plan your next adventure, it’s wise to prepare for more than just your travel outfits.

To help you decide on a safe destination, we’ve collated the top countries based on their GPI rankings by the Institute for Economics and Peace. This non-profit organization evaluates factors such as internal and external conflicts, political stability, and societal safety and security. The lower the GPI number, the safer the country. Here are the safest countries to consider for your next journey.
