Filandia is about 12 miles (19.31 km) from Salento, taking 30 minutes by jeep. There are no direct buses to travel from Salento, so you have to get to Pereira first.
From Bogota or Medellin, go to Pereira first, which is 18.6 miles (30 km) from Filandia. A bus from Pereira takes an hour. Buses leave the Pereira terminal every hour between 7 am and 7 pm, costing 8,600 COP (1.87 USD).
Armenia is about 18.8 miles (30 km) from Filandia. Buses from Armenia take 50 minutes to an hour. Tell the driver you want to get off at Los Flores in Filandia.
To leave Filandia, take a bus from in front of Bejuco Al Canasto at Carrera 5 between Calles 5 and 6.
